Effective 6:00 a.m. January 15, 2010 the snowmobile trails in Jefferson County will be closed.

The Jefferson County snowmobile trails will open at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 31, 2009 with the following exceptions:
*Trail from Johnson Creek Intersection 32 to Watertown Outboards Boat Club.
*Trail from Cold Spring Intersection 58 to Walworth County.
*Trail from Sullivan Intersection 27 to 25.
These listed corridors remain closed due to deer hunting in the area.
Please ride safely. Current trail condition reports are that trails are in poor to fair condition with some icy and bare areas. All lakes, ponds and streams are considered unsafe at this time. Riders must stay on marked trails. Please do not ride though agricultural fields.
For additional information, please contact the Snowmobile Alliance 24-hour Hotline at (920) 699 - SNOW (7669) for current additional information. Snowmobile trials in adjoining counties may be closed. Trail users should check with each county to determine trail status.

12-24-2009 Jefferson County snowmobile trails are closed as of 8:00 a.m. due to the predicted rain and freezing rain.

(NEW) The JCSA Scholarship is available. Some of the eligibility requirements are: applicant must be a high school senior enrolled full-time at an institution of higher learning, the applicant or his/her legal guardian must have been a member of a JCSA club for a minimum of two years, the applicant must have taken and passed a snowmobile safety course.
The Twin River Riders also has a scholarship available. This is available to anyone but primarily focusing on those interested in the apprenticeship program.
For the JCSA Scholarship, please contact either your local high school OR a Jefferson County snowmobile club member for an application.
