Q. Who can join a snowmobile club?
A. Anyone. All are welcome whether you snowmobile or not.

Q. How do I become a member of a snowmobile club?
A. Go to a club meeting to see what the clubs policy/procedure is. You are more than welcome to attend a couple of different clubs meetings to see which club best fits you.

Q. How much does it cost?
A. Being a snowmobile club member has a minimal fee attached. Each club sets their own membership fee.

Q. What are the benefits to joining a club?
A. You make friends, share information, attend social activities, receive the "WSN" magazine, and receive a $1,000 AD & D policy.

Q. Which club should I join?
A. That is each individuals own choice. Jefferson County has 18 snowmobile clubs within the county. We have provided you with all of the clubs along with their meeting dates, times and locations under the Clubs in the JCSA tab. You decide which club is right for you.

Q. How do I know if the trails in Jefferson County are open?
A. Check the website or call (920) 699-SNOW (7669).

Q. How do I know if I am required to have a Snowmobile Safety Certificate?
A. Any person who is at least 12 years old AND who is born on or after January 1, 1985 is required to possess a valid Snowmobile Safety Certificate in order to operate a snowmobile on public trails, lands or frozen waters. You must carry the certificate while riding and you must display it to a law enforcement officer when requested. All snowmobilers under age 16 must obtain certification in a classroom certification course. Other forms of certification (CD ROM) are only available to persons 16 years of age and up.

Q. Is there a night time speed limit?
A. Yes. The speed limit applies to all areas statewide from 1/2 hour after sunset to 1/2 hour before sunrise. The speed limit expires June 2010.
